UCAS – Points and Educational Links
Investing in your daughter’s future:
At Bromley High School, we will be implementing the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. These classes not only provide students with technical skills, musicality, posture, and alignment through ballet education but also contribute to their future prospects.
The RAD examinations provide our students with ‘credits’ working towards an investment into their future training. Grade 6, 7, 8, Intermediate Foundation, and Advanced Foundation examinations, which are recognised as QCF Level 3 qualifications, are assigned UCAS points. These points are part of the government’s UCAS points system, allowing young dancers to build confidence, enhance their ballet knowledge, and develop musical appreciation.
For Bromley High School students, taking these classes means they are making positive strides toward their future education. Working towards and achieving their ballet examinations can earn them valuable UCAS points, helping them strengthen their university applications and improve their chances of getting into their desired course by “topping up” their points.
For a detailed breakdown of the points system, please refer to the Royal Academy of Dance website or the UCAS points calculator
