UCAS

Investing in your daughter’s future:
UCAS Points and Educational Links

At Bromley High School we will be implementing the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus; the classes will amongst other things provide poise, posture alignment and a ballet education for the girls.

As well as the physical benefits, the RAD examinations are now linked to the government’s UCAS points scheme.

Graded and Vocational Graded Examinations in Dance at QCF Level 3 are allocated points on the UCAS Tariff. This means that candidates who have achieved a pass or higher in Grades 6, 7, 8, Intermediate and Advanced Foundation, can use their RAD exam result towards their points tariff when applying to university or higher education in the UK.

The benefit to Bromley High School’s students could mean that by taking these classes, they can actually invest in their  futures in an enjoyable and healthy way.

Working towards and  achieving their ballet  examinations could result in them gaining extra UCAS points and getting into the course of their choice by ‘topping up’ their points.

The full explanation and breakdown of points can be found on the Royal Academy of Dance website.
